Restaurant
Where are you from?
The Rosebud restaurant takes its name from a legendary film “Citizen Kane” directed by Orson Welles in 1941
Action !
The hero of the film Charles Foster Kane is a millionaire. But at the end of his life, alone in his immense castle of Xanadu, he longs to find the sled with which he sledged when he was a child.
The name of this sled: Rosebud!

The restaurant, continuous pleasure
Delicate flavors, inventive and refined cuisine: Charles Foster Kane would have appreciated the chef's taste for culinary excellence.
Regional specialties, local flavors and great classics are enhanced by his inspiration which gives pride of place to herbs and spices.
“Each guest is a friend, our only ambition is to make them happy”
The gastronomic guides are not mistaken.
They cite the Rosebud as one of the Valley's must-sees.
Chef Mathilde Walisko, at the peak of her art
At the helm of the Rosebud kitchen , chef Mathilde Walisko creates a cuisine inspired by the Alps, bold and deeply rooted in its terroir.
With 10 years of experience in renowned establishments, particularly in Lyon, the gastronomic capital, Mathilde brings her technical expertise and passion for excellence. As European Vice-Champion of offal products , she cultivates an uncompromising respect for the product and the transmission of traditional skills.
Its menu celebrates the terroir of Haute-Savoie with contemporary creativity: short supply chains, strict seasonality, and animal welfare. Sincere cuisine to be enjoyed with the majestic panorama of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc as a backdrop — and now recognized with the Écotable award.
The Rosebud, Master Restaurateur
On June 26, 2026, Le Rosebud was awarded the title of Maître Restaurateur , the only official distinction granted by the French State in the restaurant sector.
Issued by the Prefect following an independent audit and granted for four years, it is based on demanding specifications: the chef's qualifications and professionalism, product traceability, and seasonality . It guarantees authentic, homemade cuisine prepared from fresh, raw ingredients.
A wonderful recognition of the work of chef Mathilde Walisko and her entire team.
