From the shores of Sousse to the peaks of Chamonix
Medali was born in Sousse, Tunisia. At first, he only knew Chamonix from afar—through documentaries, reports, and photographs. For nearly eight months, he researched the valley, fascinated by this world-renowned destination for mountain sports and nature. His attraction to Chamonix was no accident.
What I particularly like about Chamonix is the calm, the nature and the beauty of the landscapes.
A hiker, runner, and footballer, he loves the mountains at a human scale, and even more so in winter, when the landscapes become, he says, "even more beautiful." When asked to describe the place in one word, he doesn't hesitate: "extraordinary." That's exactly the feeling we strive to create for every guest here.
A lifetime dedicated to well-being
Behind the gentle touch lies a true professional journey. Holding a Professional Technician's Certificate in Thalassotherapy, Medali honed his skills in leading spa establishments, starting as a technician and then becoming a coordinator. spa at the Royal Kenz Hotel Thalasso & Spa 4* and at the Kantaoui Bay Hotel Thalasso & Spa 5* in Tunisia, before working as a masseur at the Beauty and Spa Paradise, in Bahrain. A career shaped, as he himself writes, within luxury thalassotherapy centers, with a constant objective: to offer comfort, relaxation and overall well-being.
From those years, he has retained a rare dedication and attention to detail that make all the difference on a massage table: empathy, patience, and listening to the other person's body. He speaks French, English, Arabic, and Russian—enough to welcome the international clientele who stop by Lavancher with equal care.
